Hi there Pal, I'm Savannah!

I'm the proud founder of Pen Pal Playdates, but first and foremost - I'm a mama to our miracle baby boy, Brooks, and that's the title I cherish the most. My son was an unexpected miracle blessing after years of infertility and having him made me appreciate every moment even more. The idea for Pen Pal Playdates came from those sweet, one-on-one moments crafting and teaching my son. Watching him learn and thrive during those times together made me realize how much joy comes from creating. Not only for the littles making and playing, but also for me as a parent. The joy watching him learn and grow developmentally while playing together was something I was so proud of. I want other families to experience that joy too. As a mom, I know how busy life can get - juggling endless to-do lists and the mental load that comes along with parenthood. Pen Pal Playdates was born to make it easier. I want to give families screen-free, creative and engaging play that is also educational that didn't require the extra planning or shopping.

We all want that special time with our kids - and my son, being an only child, made me cherish all the moments even more - and I wanted him to feel connected with other kids - even to family far away. Everyone always warns parents how quickly time flies and it's true! I didn't want to miss out on any of the moments, and I wanted to make sure that he was given every opportunity to be happy and connect with friends and family as much as possible in his childhood years, especially. The idea of crafting and learning together - even from a distance - was inspired by my son and his cousin sharing these moments even when they live a few states away. Plus, how much fun is it to receive mail, especially as a kid? I felt as a technology driven world, we've lost a sense of connection that requires a little patience and thoughtfulness behind it all. By adding a pen pal aspect to the company, I really believe it will develop a sense of belonging, excitement, and learning. There are so many benefits to learning how to address, write, and expect happy mail. Writing and receiving letters is something that I don't want to go out of fashion. I'm determined to make it last.

Our kits encourage sensory play, creativity, and independent learning. I even include music playlists to boost the educational benefits of play. At the heart of it all, I wanted to offer a way for families - no matter how busy or far apart - to enjoy these special moments that seem to fly by! It's all about learning, playing, and connecting.

There are so many creative ideas that I have to continue to grow Pen Pal Playdates and by your support, I am able to be a small part in helping creative minds flourish and learn in the next generations to come. It makes it possible to keep creating, teaching, and crafting new ways that are engaging, developmental, and inspiring to you and your children. Our Mission

At Pen Pal Playdates, we are dedicated to empowering youth through innovative play and learning. Our goal is to provide a playful, yet educational experience that your little ones look forward to receiving and participating in. Each kit will include at least one keepsake style craft that you'll want to hold on to forever. Memories worth making, literally! Our young people deserve a screen-free fun activity kit to learn, grow, and thrive. There are so many benefits to our kits for your children.

We have so many plans for this business as it continues to grow with your support. There are countless amounts of ideas that we would love to pour into your purchase and back into the community. Some of the few ideas we are hoping to achieve sooner than later are giving back to the community. A glimpse into a couple of our ideas include we hope to find a way to gift foster children a PlayKit with every Playkit purchased, we are also hoping to send PlayKits to military families who have parents or guardians deployed or on active duty. With your support, there are endless opportunities that we can make together. We want this to be more than just a business, we want to make an impact.

Our Purpose

We know life gets busy, so we're here to help! We handle all the organizing and planning, freeing you to enjoy special moments with your little ones. We understand that even though we're busy, it doesn't mean we don't want to still do the fun things with our kids! Sometimes it's just lower on our priority list of things to do and to remember to go out to buy the supplies. You just want to have fun too and not have to put the thoughts behind it all. We get it! We're parents too! No judgment here. We plan it all out, you can just sit back and relax and enjoy! But for the days that are extra busy and for when you need a breather, these kits also let your kids play independently, giving you some well-earned downtime while they engage in creative, screen-free fun. No guilty feelings!

Plus, who doesn't love FUN mail? The joy of receiving mail teaches kids how to address letters and adds excitement to every exchange. There are so many learning benefits for your little ones. Not only do I want to encourage connection for friends but also for military families, divided families, grandparents and long distant relatives who still want to be involved in a child's life but not necessarily close by to be able to do so.
